I can't believe it! We can finally buy veggie plants again! I got a bunch of lettuce, parsley, and pansies for my birthday. I also got some nice everbearing strawberry plants! Yum! _________________ Jesus died and lived to tell about it......

It's like Christmas for gardeners like us when we go to the nurseries and the supply stores isn't it? Or like little kids in a toy store. _________________ Jesus died and lived to tell about it......

Oh, I know! I always have a hard time deciding what kinds of seed I should get this time, and wishing for more plants than I probably really need.

Sometimes I over buy the plants and they don't all get in. That's foolish. I just get so excited!!!!! _________________ Jesus died and lived to tell about it......

I usually find a place to put all the plants that I buy, because I can't bear for them to die, but I generally always have seeds left over.

I've been planting them as I go this year. Only things not planted are 36 cabbage plants. I bought them over the weekend at Walmart. Last year I bought a 9 pack and they did spectacularly. This year I bought 4 9 packs. 2 packs of red, and 2 packs of green.
Now I need to get some Thyme to grow amidst them because last year it kept the cabbage worms and bugs away! _________________ Jesus died and lived to tell about it......

I've got a lot of plants waiting to be planted this afternoon. We made a trip to the farm store yesterday and found a few, but they were pretty picked over. I guess everyone's in the mood to garden now!
This morning, we had to take a lawnmower in to the repair shop, so I went by the little Mennonite store to see what plants they had, and I found quite a few more, and in better condition than those I got yesterday.

I got 16 La Roma tomatoes--I'd like to have some more, but they seem to be a little difficult to locate. I also got 4 each of two different yellow varieties, and 4 pink tomato plants.
I bought 10 green bell pepper plants. I was hoping to get some other kinds, but they were gone!
Yesterday, I was really hoping to find broccoli plants, and managed to get the last of them, only 17 plants, some of them a little sad-looking. Then today, I found oodles of great-looking broccoli plants, for considerably less than I paid yesterday! So I got 48 more!
I also found 7 red cabbage plants--I was hoping for more of those--I'll have to keep watching at the grocery store.

My mom sounds like you two lol. We went and bought a lot of seeds like carrots, greenbeans, lettuce, radishs (is there an E in there?..), beats i think, and a bunch others. Then we bought some veggie plants of cucummbers, onions, tomatoes, and I think that's all. We planted the seeds and getting ready to do the plants cause it's been up in the 50s/60s lately and 40ish like at night
